When you see the title "Mission Percussible”, you probably think of Tom Cruise as Ethan Hunt, the agent on breathtaking and impossible missions. But really you should think of Lalo Schifrin, because without him, Ethan Hunt and his friends would seem weak and boring. Lalo Schifrin composed the music of the original TV series, and beacuse of its brilliance his musical theme is still the predominant ’red thread’ connecting all the movies. With its excitingly irregular beat, it is impossible to relax and the sensation of endless tension pumps adrenaline through your body. Mission Percussible has the same goal: to make it impossible to sit still both playing and listening to the piece, though it should be possible to have a lot of fun.
