Easy Duets Volume 2 contains five easy duets for any combination of 2 mallet instruments such as the vibraphone, xylophone or marimba. All five duets use a 3-octave range from F to F. The duets can be played on the same instruments however, it is preferable for part 1 to be played on vibraphone and for part 2 to be played on marimba.

The duets can also be played as ensemble pieces. Double each parts depending on the number of players and instruments available. Pieces such as Flyin’, Saturday Morning and Hope to see you again is very well suited with the addition of bass and/or drums (bass part can be found at the end of the booklet).

    • Daniel Berg’s mallet duets is just what you need as a percussion teacher. The music Daniel writes fulfilled a huge gap in percussion litterature, it’s inspiring for both teachers and students to work with this material. The music connects old traditional music with more modern music that sounds familiar to the student. If I could recommend one composer for bringing out mallet music it must be Daniel Berg, his music is inspiring juvels that you can´t miss.

Per Björkqvist teacher on Gothenburg music of school, percussion center on Hulebäcksgymnasium, director of Got Motion, 2013 ”the music teacher of the year” in Sweden.
