This Fantasia was written and premiered in 2011 before being revised for technical simplifications and a rewriting of the marimba cadenza.
Despite aiming for grandeur and an orchestral character both the opening and reprise fail to harmonically form a cycle with the latter even losing a halftone and ending the piece in B-Major. The triad forming the theme was inspired by Richard Wagners (1813-1883) "Heil, König Heinrich" and thus respectfully leaves the attempt of emulating his work in great ambition but ultimately unfinished.
The middle section starts off in a playful manner before resorting to more heavily instrumented variations in minor keys, a pseudo-fugato and two solocadenzas to sustain the weight of the two surrounding form parts.
